Court fight over the estate of Ruthwin Floyd Foster 1922
Court fight over the estate of Ruthwin Floyd Foster 1922
Apparently a big row over the estate of Ruthwin Floyd Foster wherein grandson Bert Martin (so of daughter Louisa Foster Martin, from Rithwun's first wife Lydia Watson) and daughter Susan C. Shryack (from second wife Mariah Charter) sue the rest of Ruthwins's heirs "for partition and for other relief." There are several people listed in this notice as heirs who do not appear to have a direct martial/famial link to Ruthwin Foster; e.g. Edith and Revy M. Martin, Lydia E. Stuckey, Harold Simonson, Charles O. Logan and and Emma Houtchens. Note clear why some of the Fosters who should be heirs are not listed.

Crossed the plains in 1853
Crossed the plains in 1853
Account of Teophiel Graff working as a teamster, scout and mail man for various trading companies, driving wagons and mail along the route from Kansas City to Laramie WY to Bridger UT. He's describes several encounters with Indians including a Massacre of US Army troops at Fort Laramie in the fall of 1854 in a dispute over a single sickly cow - "The Indians soon surrounded the soldiers and not one of them escaped. Mr. Graff witnessed the killing and scalping of thirty four people." He also tells of walking 108 miles on foot in winter to deliver mail from Fort Laramie to Fort Vaskett - "He traveled alone and on foot and made one trip a month. Besides the mail, he carried food and bedding, as there were no settlements between the forts. He saw thousands of buffalos in one herd. The animals were on every side of him as far as he could see at times."

Damage action filed 1946
Damage action filed 1946
Strange suit against William Kaylor. Kaylor apparently loaned a car to Hilda and Ralph Moore, who were then involved in an accident with William Taylor. Taylor names Kaylor as a defendant with the Moore's seeking $800 in damages: "William S. Taylor asks $800 damages as the result of an automobile collision July 6 with Hilda and Ralph Moore. The Moore's and W. W. Kaylor are named as defendants in the proceedings. Mr. Taylor avers that the accident occurred two miles northeast of Eminence at a highway intersection, and charges two of the defendants, Hilda and Ralph Moore, with traveling at an excessive rate of speed and failing to exercise proper caution in crossing the intersection. The automobile driven by the Moore's was owned by Mr. Kaylor, who also is listed as a defendant. Plaintiff asks the damages for his 1938 Ford Tudor, which he claims, was demolished by the collision."

Damage suits against William Kaylor dismissed 1948
Damage suits against William Kaylor dismissed 1948
Over two years after first filing, the damages suits against William Kaylor related to the Jul 1946 car accident between the William Taylor and the Moores are dismissed. Taylor's suits targeting the Moore's who were driving Kaylor's car and caused the accident apparently continue: "Two damage suits, naming W. W. Kaylor as defendant, have been dismissed by the plaintiff, with permission of the court. One suit was filed by William S. Taylor and the other by Robert Taylor, by his next friend, William S. Taylor. Other defendants in the suits, which are the result of an auto accident last winter, are Hilda and Ralph Moore." Never clear who the "next friend" Robert Taylor was and how he was involved in the incident. Note the children mentioned in the previous article have gone missing again.

Death Car ran out of control 1963
Death Car ran out of control 1963
"A coroner's jury said here Thursday that the evidence before it suggested that Harry Stanley Fogg of Los Angeles was not in control of his vehicle before the accident which killed him Aug. 31. Mr. Fogg died as a result of injuries received when his car was in collision with a parked car owned by Edward Hindman of Inglewood, Calif., near Banff's east park gate. Mrs. Fogg received facial injuries in the crash. Mr. and Mrs. Hindman testified that they saw the Fogg car headed toward theirs after it hit a warning light on the highway and it seemed to pick up speed. They were out of the car but Mrs. Hindman received a broken pelvis and Mr. Hindman a broken knee cap. Carol Dorschell, of 1815 5th St. S.W., Calgary, who was in a car following the Fogg car, said that it had been weaving for some distance and two oncoming cars had to go onto the shoulder to avoid it. At the brow of the hill just before the gate it "pulled away and shot down the hill," hit the light, and veered left, she said. Frederick John Turnbull of 170 Fyffe Road, Calgary, who was parked near the Hindman car, estimated the Fogg car's speed down the hill at 50 m.p.h."
