Obituary: Mattie Elizabeth Kaylor 1972

"Services for Mrs. Mattie Elizabeth Kaylor, the 83-year-old woman who died at 11:30 Friday morning, at her home on R. R. 7, have been set for Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Neal and Summers Chapel and will be conducted by the Rev. Willie Wilson and the Rev. Luther Nusbaum. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. She was born April 16, 1889 in Estel (Estill) County, Ky., the daughter of Clifton and Sarah Rogers Newman. She was married to William Kaylor, who died in 1964. Mrs. Kaylor had lived in Kentucky before coming to Morgan County for residence in 1925 and was a member of the Non-Denominational Christian Church. Survivors include four daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. Charles Brummett and Mrs. Glen Brummett of R. R. 7, Mrs. Robert Groth of Independence, Kan., Mrs. Paul Stier of Wisconsin; Victor of R. R. 7; Jasper, R. R. 2; Jerry C., R. R. 1, and Robert C. Kaylor of Trafalgar R. R. 2. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Forest Moore of Frankfort, Ky., Mrs. Preston White of Richmond, Ky., and 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren."
