Acquitted and disappear 1942
In an article about a night of unrest in Hazard, an update on the murder of Samuel Kaylor: "Sheriff Cornett said Robertson denied orally that he killed Sam Kaylor here a year ago and placed the blame on Earl Crawford, Negro, who formerly lived here. Robertson was convicted of murdering Kaylor, but obtained a new trial and had been free on bond. Crawford disappeared after being acquitted in the same case." Robertson's second trial for the murder of Samuel Kaylor apparently never happened. Robertson was convicted of the murder of Bertha Lehman mentioned in this article and sentenced to death in Jun 1942. He was electrocuted in Aug 1942.
