"The other Americus boy was Arthur H. (should be W.) Craig, aged 20, who had been working in the government shipyards at Portland, Ore. He went to Portland September 24, in company with his cousin, William Stevens, of Emporia, and another Emporia boy. News was received Saturday from Portland that he had been mortally wounded in an accident and there was no hope for his recovery."
