Car accident suit continued 1948
Several newspaper reports chronicle the progress of the car accident suit as it winds its way the the courts. This article summarizes the status of the suit 18 months on from the accident. William Taylor has upped his damages claim substantially. Injuries to children involved are mentioned for the first time. Oddy Taylor only asks for payment ($10,000) for injuries to himself. Kaylor has asked to be excused from the suit entirely: "The suit resulted from an accident July 6, 1946, when the plaintiff, a five and a half-year-old child, was injured when the car occupied by the Moores collided with the one in which he was riding near Eminence. Damages of $5,000 are asked. The car driven by Moore was owned by W. W. Kaylor. Mr. Kaylor recently filed his answer to a damage complaint of William S. Taylor, in connection with the same accident. In this suit, Taylor asked $800 damages to the car and $10,000 for injuries to himself."
