Obituary: Lula Rhodus 1978 "Services for Lula Rhodus, 75, will be in the Neal & Summers Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Miss Rhodus died Wednesday morning at 5:15 a.m. in the Morgan County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 6. Born on July 28, 1903, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of Dillard and Ellen Warner Rhodus. Survivors include two brothers, Leroy Rhodus of Mooresville and Enos Rhodus of Brookville; four sisters, Mollie Reid, Indianapolis, Geneva Todd, Waco, Ky., Irene Marshall, Miami, Fla., and Amy Lewis of Indianapolis. Foster brothers and sisters surviving are Robert Kaylor of Trafalgar, Jerry Kaylor, Eminence, Mattie E. Steir, Wisconsin, Sarah Groth, Kansas, and Jack Kaylor, Naomi and Lulu Brummett, all from Martinsville. Other relatives surviving in the Martinsville area are Amy Sue and Paula Kincaid. Miss Rhodus has lived in the local area since 1925, coming from Kentucky. She retired in 1969 from Stokely VanCamp. Ronald Thomke and Glen Watkins will officiate at the service, and interment will be in Nebo Memorial Park." |
