Obituary: Robert C McCabe 1981 "...died Sunday at the Port Orchard Convalescent Center. With his son, Everett, Mc- Cabe supplied fire wood to much of Kitsap County until 1943. Later, he was a fireman for Puget Sound Naval Ship yard for 21 years until his retirement in 1965. In his spare time, McCabe enjoyed working in his flower garden...with his brother and father, was one of the first settlers in the Oklahoma Territory. Later, he moved to Kansas where he married his wife, Ida, in 1905. In addition to his wife and son, both of Bremerton, McCabe is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Seward of Florida, one grandson, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews." |
