- From her obit: "Abigail Page, the deceased, was born Troy, New York in 1838. She was united in marriage with Robert Middleton in Oswego, Now York. To them were born four sons and three daughters who grew to maturity, but now only four survive - Mrs H. H. Campbell and A. W. Middleton, of this place, S. P. Middleton. South Park, Minnesota, and Geo. K. Middleton of Readstown, Wisconsin. Henry was accidentally shot on the West Okiboji in 1869, Mrs. Ed Whitney died near Worthington in 187? andMrs. J. A. Smith in Spirit Lake in 1824? "The husband father died in 1869, a year after coming to the county. In 1872 the deceased was married to Benjamin Peck, who died at Carroll in June last. Mother Peck reared a worthy family and in pursuance of the line of duty saw much of the dark side of life. She was several times stricken with paralysis, and for some time prior to her death had little use of her eyes. May she in death find the rest she so much craved."
