"Edward Smith Ward, 90, Lex-ington, widower of Lula Ford Ward, died Saturday, March 22, 1997, at his home. A native of Scott County, he was a lay evangelist and a retired painter and farmer. Mr. Ward was a member and deacon of the Highlands Baptist Church. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. John T. Thompson and the Son Funeral Home. Visitation 6 p.m. today."Burial 25 Mar 1997 Blue Grass Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., KY Headstone: Edward S. and Lula F.
