"Funeral services for Mrs. Ida L. Anderson, 82-year-old Bainbridge island pioneer, will be held tomorrow in the Winslow Congregational church. Mrs. Anderson died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mra. Ethel Olsen of Manette. In 1876 she came to Seattle, homesteading at Island Center on property still standing as a landmark."Burial 26 May 1936 Island Center Cemetery, Bainbridge Island, Kitsap Co., WA [14] Headstone: Andrew and Ida L. (Hoskinson) Anderson EVENT 6 Oct 1946 Island Center, Kitsap Co., WA [15] Andrew and Ida Hoskinsin house 1946
"OLD HOUSES are hard to find on Bainbridge. Andrew Anderson, a Swedish sailor who "jumped ship" and settled on the island in early days, and his wife, Ida Hoskinson Anderson, daughter of the "weather man," carried the boards for this home on their backs more than four miles from the head of Eagle Harbor to Island Center. Their son, Ralph, still lives in the house and uses the original well, which once had sweep and an oaken bucket."Person ID I1174 Main Last Modified 10 Dec 2023

Family 1 EVANS, David Marriage 4 Nov 1875 Osage Co., KS [17] - Location given as Beckus's School House. Officiated by Robert W. Horsfield, Methodist preacher, Methodist Episcopal Church of Auburn, KS
David Evans and Ida Hoskinson marriage license issued 1875 Marriage of David Evans and Ida L Hoskinson 1875
"The marriage ceremony was performed publicly, in the schoolhouse, in true granger style, and the occasion was a very pleasant one to those present. Samples of the wedding cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers were sent to us, which we ate and smelled to the health of the happy couple. Ida was a good girl and we hope her Patron of Husbandry will fully appreciate her good qualities. We wish the newly wedded ones much joy."Marriage certificate David Evans and Ida L Hoskinson 1875
Wedding date written on certificate by Methodist preacher Robert W. Horsfield looks like 4 Nov 1877 but this is almost certainly incorrect, an issue of poor penmanship. License was Issued 3 Nov 1875 and was valid for thirty days per the certificate so David and Ida were almost certainly wed 4 Nov 1875 vs 1877.Family ID F619 Group Sheet | Family Chart Last Modified 10 Dec 2023
