Name	HOSKINSON, Sarah Ellen
	To be fully vetted: Sarah Ellen Hoskinson was the daughter of Civil War veteran Riley M. Hoskinson (1819-1905) and Martha Fisher (1819-1899). She was sometimes known as Ellen. Her family moved to Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois in 1853. On March 20, 1866 Sarah Ellen Hoskinson married Civil War veteran William Henry Kirkham (1837-1922), son of Henry Kirkham and Elizabeth Hinkle. Their marriage is recorded in Schuyler County, Illinois in Book C, page 16, license # 3897. William Henry Kirkham served in the 28th Illinois Infantry, Co. G during the Civil War. In 1870 William and Sarah Ellen Kirkham were living in Milford, Oak Grove Precinct, Seward County, Nebraska. They were living in Illinois in 1871 and then moved to Oregon before 1879. William and Sarah Ellen lived in Table Rock, Jackson County, Oregon. By 1900 they had moved to Prineville, Crook County, Oregon. William and Sarah Ellen Kirkham were the parents of 4 children as follows: Martha Kirkham (born June, 1868- died after 1920); Henry Kirkham (June, 1871-Dec. 25, 1938); William W. Kirkham (1879-1912); and Mary Kirkham (Nov., 1882-died after 1920), wife of wife of Samuel Gulliford. William Henry Kirkham and Sarah Ellen (Hoskinson) Kirkham are buried together in Juniper Haven Cemetery. Sarah Ellen's name is given as Ellen Kirkham on her tombstone.
