    Text ABE LINCOLN PENSINGER

Funeral services were held at the Roberts Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon for Abraham Lincoln (Abe) Pensinger, one of the Blandinsville community's old and well-known residents, who passed away at his home a mile west of town Sunday. He had lived for 78 years, six months and three days, and death was the result of heart trouble and complications. He had been in poor health for the past several years.

Mr. Pensinger was born in Greencastle, Penna, October 11, 1861, the son of George and Christina Rutterual Pensinger. He grew to manhood there and when he was 21 years old came to Illinois. He settled here in western McDonough county and lived the rest of his life in the vicinity of Colchester and Blandinsville. For many years past he had made his home on the county line road straight west of here.

On August 31, 1887, he was married to Belle Ashby, who survives him. Four sons were born to them; Faye, who lives in Jordan, Minn., Earl of Tennessee, Ill., and Willis and Hollis who are dead. Mr. Pensinger, who was a farmer all his life, was a kind and loving husband and father, a good neighbor and an honest, industrious man. His death is mourned by everyone who knew him.

The Rev. C. K. Demmel officiated at the service on Tuesday afternoon and internment was in South Cemetery.
