Charles T. Fisher
Charles T. Fisher, 71, Bushnell, died at 4:25 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.
He was born July 7, 1935, the son of Truman and Edith (Smith) Fisher. He married Brigitte Behrendt on Nov. 9, 1957, in Helmstedt, Germany. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Gene (Beth) Fisher, Oakville, Dean (Julie) Fisher, Bushnell, and Mark (Teresa) Fisher, Bushnell; one daughter, Kathy (Ron) Howard, Avon; one brother, Jerry (Millie) Fisher, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Mary Lou (Jim) Barlett, Bushnell; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert, and one sister, Loretta Barker.
He grew up in Good Hope. After high school he joined the Army and served eight years. He was stationed in Texas and Germany, which is where he met his wife. He worked for C.S. Norcross, Jim Bartlett, The City of Bushnell and the Bushnell School District. He enjoyed cat fishing, playing poker, the St. Louis Cardinals and his dog Oliver.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2007, at the Good Hope Cemetery, Good Hope.
Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Rescue Squad.
