    Text Ronald "Dean" Fisher

    Ronald "Dean" Fisher, 75, Lewistown, formerly of Colchester, died at 9:55 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Prairie View Care Center, Lewistown.

    He was born May 9, 1932, in Blandinsville, the son of Raymond and Fronie (Britton) Fisher.

    He is survived by two sons, Jeremy and Tyler Fisher, both of Macomb, one brother, Everette "Reon" Fisher, Macomb; one sister, Lucille Terry, Macomb; one niece, Laura Fisher, Macomb; one nephew, Alan Terry, Casper, Wyo.; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marilyn Cox, Macomb, and her family.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, two nieces and one nephew.

    He lived most of his life in the Colchester and Blandinsville areas. He worked at the King-Sealy plant, Macomb, as custodian for Northwestern High School and as an accountant at McDonough Telephone Co-op before his retirement.

    He was a member of the Blandinsville First Baptist Church, Macomb Eagles, Macomb Elks, WIU Athletic Club, charter member of the Barbershop Chorus and an honorary member of the Macomb VFW.

    He was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Blandinsville with Rev. A. Lee Unger officiating.

    Burial will be in Glade City Cemetery, Blandinsville.

    Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home, Blandinsville.

    Memorials may be made to the West Prairie Boosters Club, Macomb VFW or the Alzheimer?s Association.
